Currently Onsite: The arrival of Autumn leads to dramatic color changes for local foliage as well as at The Collection! Scaffolding has been removed making way for completion of the finish cementitious exterior siding called “Nichiha” which is currently going up on the west side (no more tangy yellow weather-proofing membrane!). Next up, the primary electrical transformer (the big green boxes you see scattered around town) will be switched-out for a new and upgraded unit providing the main power supply to the building. Utility includes an updated natural gas supply connection. The gorgeous custom-designed kitchen and bathroom cabinets have already been installed in units on second and third floors while the top floor units are having cabinets delivered soon (along with hundreds of gorgeous gola and j-channel cabinet pulls and knobs. More than two hundred doors will have been installed by month’s end and last but not least, the common area hallways and spaces are being painted. Up Next: As the exterior of the building itself is completed, the surrounding ground-level walkways will be refreshed with new concrete flatwork including the corner retail space’s patio, landscape boxes, and curbs. Inside, finishing touches will be made to bathrooms with mirrors, shower glass, lighting, and cool plumbing fixtures! If you are an ice cream connoisseur, this place is for you. A rotating menu of specials, including “No Milk, No Whey!” options and something with a kick (like this month’s Spicy Margarita) adds to an already amazingly unique menu.
